The main goal of the SI’s Computer Science and Society Section is to promote cross-disciplinary dialogue between technical and social sciences on computer science, to uncover interactions, and to discuss the impact on society. Another important goal is to strive for professionalism in the computer science profession.
The whole spectrum of ethical, philosophical, socio-cultural and educational policy issues up to concrete questions of economic, legal and work organization nature shall be discussed.
The section supports activities that correspond to its objectives.
