SI membership has many advantages such as

• participating in our congresses and events throughout the year for free
• being part of our professional development initiatives and working groups like IT Expert SI
• networking with your professional colleagues

In addition, SI members have access to all member advantages of our associated computer society (GI) in Germany.

You can apply for 4 member categories:

• IT-Professional, at full rate or reduced rate if also member of one of our partner associations (let us know in the message field)
• Student, if proof of enrollment is provided, first year of membership is free
• Company, allows for 5 people to enjoy membership privileges and grants 2 votes at the General Assembly
• Passive/Retired, if aged 65 or more

The annual fee is levied between January and June for the current year. In the event of termination notice at a later date than March, the annual contribution for the current year is due.

When becoming a new member or during your membership, please let us know your fields of interests

These are categorised as follows

• Software Engineering
• Database Technologies
• User Experience (with all facets like Multimedia, VR, etc.)
• Artificial Intelligence
• Business Informatics (with a focus on Business Analysis and Project Management)
• IT Operation, Security, Safety and Hardware
• Social Topics

Within each category you may also tell us your more specific interests.

Also note that the SI has formal groups that are active in those fields of interest, mostly with organising events. If you want to join them, let us know. The annual fee for being member of 1 group is 20CHF (except for donna informatica where it is 30CHF).
